Before I lived at Renewal House, I was living with alcoholics and dope addicts who were mean and took advantage of me.
There were no programs out there to help me except the Soup Kitchen, were I went to get one good meal. The Salvation Army Case Manager helped with bill paying and case management.
Renewal House meant a lot to me. They helped me and I helped them around the house.
I didn’t realize how sick I was and got the medical and financial help I needed when I was at Renewal House.
I think I’m doing pretty good now. I changed my eating habits and am eating better and taking vitamins now. I’m still taking my prescription meds but I am also taking herbs and vitamins.
